For the position of Head of Development Battery Durability (m/f/d), we are looking for an experienced and analytical engineering expert who will work with us to prove the long-term stability of our battery and develop and validate innovative test methods for this purpose. You will have the exciting opportunity to help build and develop your team to help shape the future of energy storage technology and make a significant contribution.

We offer exciting and responsible tasks with creative scope:

  • Disciplinary and technical leadership of your team and ensuring staff coverage as well as the targeted further training of team members
  • You will ensure that the long-term stability of our batteries is verified using "real time" and accelerated ageing methods
  • Develop and validate innovative methods to ensure the quality of our batteries, always in accordance with relevant standards and norms
  • Define, implement and track development roadmaps taking into account time, budget and quality
  • Create cost calculations and monitor budget planning
  • You visit trade fairs, discover new trends and integrate them into your area

Job-related requirements

  • Successfully completed technical studies in mechanical engineering specializing in materials engineering, process engineering or materials science or a comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience with a focus on materials for batteries, fuel cells
  • Relevant experience with stability tests and accelerated aging methods
  • Sound knowledge of statistical methods and electrochemistry
  • Sound knowledge of the development process (stage-gate process) and systematic requirements engineering
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Confident handling of common Office applications

  • Willingness to travel a little (approx. 3%) to attend trade fairs etc.
