Alzenau, 5 December 2022 – CMBlu Energy AG‘s supervisory board has appointed Richard Stoffelen on November 30 2022 to become part of the company’s executive board. With immediate effect, he will oversee financial operations at the leading developer and producer of Solid-Flow energy storage systems. Richard Stoffelen joins the executive board as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) next to CTO Dr. Nastaran Krawczyk and founder and CEO Dr. Peter Geigle.

“We are happy to have Richard on board – a very experienced and internationally-connected manager and expert for economics and finance. With his expertise he enhances our top management in this important phase of our company growth”

Dr. Peter Geigle

Beforehand, Richard Stoffelen was a long time partner at KPMG. His career led him to work and live in Europe, the USA and China (Hong Kong). On his new role, he comments:

The energy transition is not possible without very large energy storage systems. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to be able to contribute to such a ground-breaking project to have a real global and sustainable impact. Finding the right investors and the capital needed to support CMBlu’s upcoming growth and the scale up of production of our Solid-Flow Batteries, is an incredibly exciting task and challenge that I’m really looking forward to!”
