The year is still young, but we have already kicked it off with a booth at the Intersolar North America and Energy Storage North America (ISNA/ESNA) exhibition in San Diego from January 17-19.Our teams from both the U.S. and Germany from left to right: Julie M. Royes, Luc Toepoel, Markus Geigle, Giovanni Damato, and Dr. Tyler A Gully.
Thanks to our renewable energy industry colleagues and potential partners, the event was a great success. Starting out the year by connecting with so many brilliant innovators was inspiring.
We also announced former Vice President of Operations and Development Giovanni Damato as the new President of CMBlu Energy Inc.
Under my leadership, we’re excited to continue our U.S. expansion and realize our goal of establishing manufacturing capacity in the U.S.
Looking back, 2023 was truly special: We announced two pilots in the U.S., one with WEC Energy Group in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and another with Arizona utility Salt River Project. We also had a blockbuster funding announcement in October, with STRABAG SE, unveiling a $106 million equity investment in CMBlu. Lastly, we teamed up with Argonne and Idaho National Laboratories for a DOE-funded project, testing the microgrid and EV charging capabilities of our Organic SolidFlow battery.
More details about this project are available in PV Magazine USA’s article “CMBlu Energy’s organic flow batteries to be test in microgrids, cold climates”.
