CMBlu Energy Wins The Smarter E AWARD 2025 for Energy Storage Innovation
Alzenau, Germany, May 15, 2025 – CMBlu Energy, developer and manufacturer of the innovative Organic SolidFlow battery, has been honored with The smarter E AWARD at the evening reception prior to Europe’s largest trade show for batteries and energy storage systems, ees Europe. Since 2014, the award jury has recognized visionary products, solutions, and projects that pave the way to a renewable energy future through innovative technologies and smart concepts.
CMBlu’s proprietary SolidFlow energy storage technology impressed the five-member jury by combining the best of two worlds: the high energy density of a solid-state battery and the independent scalability of power and capacity offered by flow batteries. The scalable, long-duration energy storage system integrates solid organic polymers with metal-free, recyclable electrolytes – free of rare or conflict materials. Delivering approximately 20,000 charge cycles, efficiency of up to 85 percent, and a safe, non-explosive design, this battery innovation sets new benchmarks for both safety and cost-effectiveness.
